We deliver results.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) program is a rigorous, recognized curriculum. It is more challenging than a regular one and creates greater leverage for university application. They face an intense schedule composed of assignments, quizzes, exams, labs, internal assessments, presentations, essays, and reports, all contributing to their school performance. Since the IB program is highly competitive, students must be determined and motivated to overcome the challenges.
Every Piece of Work Counts to Your Score
Instead of attending an exam and obtaining a final result, all routine works such as lab reports, internal assessments, course projects, and essays contribute to your teens’ IB grade. Such workload becomes exhaustive when your teens are under-prepared or lack external support.
“I want to be a medical school student at McGill. I’ve heard that McGill prefers competitive students. I want to enhance my personal profile. That’s why I chose IB at Churchill Secondary. However, I overlooked the level of difficulty. I was working extremely hard for the first three months and failed to catch up with the course load. If I didn’t find Giraffe, my predicted grade would probably be about 26 (out of 45).” – George S.
How to achieve a high score?
Your Teens Need to Keep Their Offer of Admission
When your teens apply for universities, they only have predicted IB grades. As a result, they usually receive conditional offers that require them to achieve a designated minimum IB score. They must complete all IB exams within the month of May, while they must recollect all knowledge learnt in the past two years.
“I was glad that I received McGill’s offer. Somehow, I under-estimated the IB final exams. As I didn’t get close enough to my predicted grades, McGill revoked my offer. So sad. I should put effort into the finals. I was that close to my dream school.” – Anna K.
“I wasn’t that familiar with the IB final exams. My teacher never taught us anything [about the exams]. Thanks to Giraffe’s IB Exam prep program, I kept UC Berkeley’s offer.” – Alice Z.
